The NY/NJ Snowflake Youth Foundation is a newly formed charity headquartered at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
It was created as an initiative of the NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee and is independent from the NFL and its individual teams.
The NY/NJ Snowflake Youth Foundation, which has applied for recognition of its tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code, will harness the excitement of Super Bowl XLVIII to raise money for charity and leave a significant and
lasting legacy for our region.
Our Mission
On February 2, 2014 - for the first time ever - the NY/NJ Region
will host the Super Bowl. The arrival of the nation's biggest
sporting event will be great for football fans, local businesses,
and our regional economy. As important, this game provides an opportunity
to make a real difference in the lives of our youth.
The mission of the NY/NJ Snowflake Youth Foundation is to transform after-school
facilities for youth in New Jersey and the New York metro area.
We are focused on assisting these locations that provide school-age boys and
girls with safe and supervised recreational, educational, and character-building
activities. These facilities, such as Boys & Girls Clubs, empower our youth and
will help them become responsible, productive, healthy, and caring members of
our incredibly generous Super Bowl community at large.
